- Yes, you need to enter those init commands manually, and save them with &W.

- I wanted to point out that even with older, daughterboard version, the
- flash load still will load properly. The caller-ID functions will not
- work without the modifications because the modem cannot monitor the
- line without going off-hook - that's what the mods are for. You cannot
- tell from the success or failure of the flash load which version of the
- modem you have.
