  24. Yes, you need to enter those init commands manually, and save them with &W.

  26. I wanted to point out that even with older, daughterboard version, the 
  27. flash load still will load properly.  The caller-ID functions will not 
  28. work without the modifications because the modem cannot monitor the
  29. line without going off-hook - that's what the mods are for.  You cannot
  30. tell from the success or failure of the flash load which version of the 
  31. modem you have.
